i have a pny gtx 760 oc 2gb right now and am looking to upgrade. my question is, would i be better of getting another 760 ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... )

Or, should i get ONE of these 770 oc 4gb and eventually? ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... )

it will cost around the same all in all either way, as id sell my old card for the 770 if need be.

which choice would out perform the other? im not to savvy with video cards but from what ive read sli does not seem to make a huge difference in anything but framerate, but im probably just an idiot (haha).

or would i be better off doing something else? throw some suggestions for cards at me ( under $450)

my system:
intel i7 4770k 3.5 ghz
asus rog maximus vi mobo
rosewill 100w psu
8gb ddr3 memory
geforce gtx 760 oc 2gb ddr5

Assuming that you have a single monitor setup, it is best to go for 2GB or 3GB VRAM on the GPU since more VRAM will be useless. 4GB GPU's are better suitable for dual + monitor setups. Moreover, your current GPU is still powerfull enough for today's standards and is still a great solution for cool gaming. What games do you play btw?

okay, i just got bf 4 and will be primarily playing that. the game recommends a card with 3 gb, would that mean running sli 760 2 gb would cut it? currently the game runs well on high with occasional small slips but cannot run on ultra smoothly whatsoever. if you or anyone else plays, add me on origin: viperGT54 and steam: vipe103

i also play the witcher 2, assassins creed 3 and black flag, splinter cell black list, and pretty much any other game i get my hands on.

The r9 is a great card. I posted the 7970 because it is a little cheaper
