Hello!

I'm going to buy a hyper 212 evo for an i7 860. I will overclock to what I let the heatsink.

I live in europe. They say there are 2 versions of this sink. There is great difference between the two?

I say this because in most reviews is the American version.

Regards!!

The US version you linked to has mounting hardware for LGA 2011. The US version also has a different fan. Notice the RPM and CFM ratings are different. The US version listed will cool a little better though with the faster fan. It will also be louder.

Edit:
Hmmm actually looks like the Spanish version weighs more. So it's really hard to say which would cool better. I think they are just different revisions. I would bet you could find them both in the US or in Spain if you looked hard enough. I think the main difference is the LGA 2011 compatibility.

^ I think Nukemaster has it right. You are thinking of the Hyper 212+ and the Hyper 212 Evo. They are different coolers. The Evo is the better of the two. There should not be any difference between one sold in Europe and one sold in the US.

I suppose there could be some sort of slight difference in the metals used due to local regulations but I really doubt it.

So you think I should look for the American version, or just do not care?

Is that in the reviews do not really know which one you used and I have fear that the European No proper performance.

I would not worry about it. Honestly I think if you could find a Euro version that supports LGA 2011 it would be identical to the American version you linked to.

American version - LGA 2011 support ( You don't need that )
Better fan. But louder.

European version- Heavier. So maybe a better heatsink making the better fan on the American version not matter.

I would not worry about it too much.

Well, the major difference it's the Bearing Type , while the international version is "4th generation" the EU version is "Rifle Bearing". On the Eu version page you don't even see refering to the bearing while in intern. version you haver a big picture explaining what is 4th generation bearing.
