So, im looking to build a pc with an i5 3570k as a cpu and a gtx 780 for a gpu. The problem is, i can only afford to get build the computer and not buy a new monitor to go with it (at the moment). Ii'm thinking of using the monitor i use at the moment with my current 2.4GHz PC. But, im guessing there will be problems. Would this be okay until i bought a newer monitor or would it render the pc useless?

*i dont know any of the monitor's specifications, all i know is it's OLD, has a max resolution of 1280x780 And it's a samsung :p

No, you wouldn't have any issues. Just as long as you have an adapter to be able to connect the older monitor the the new video card you'd be fine.
