In 3/4 years from now, we all know that 8 cores will most likely be utilized and the quad cores will probably turn into the dual cores of today.

I've made the statement of the 8 cores being utilised because of the rate technology, games of today like bf4 can utilise 6 cores (or 8 not sure), some benchmarks show that flagship 8 core processor perform better than flagship quad core processors on multi threaded games and the next gen consoles will have 8 cores this will boost the rate of how fast 8 cores will be utilised.

With that in mind do you think that over the next 2/3 years the i5 4670k will become slower than a 8350?

They are practically on par on most games as of today.

Also what do you think of the amd Apu's?

I think they are awesome and is the future of budget gaming.

I believe the 8350 will slowly start to pull ahead of the 4670k as games utilize more and more cores. AMD's APUs are great for budget gaming and just office work, they have a good processor and a slow but functional GPU for the price of just one of them. I'm not sure they'll ever be much more than budget parts though.
