How to format a hard drive for RMA?

I have a WD 1 tb hardrive which died because of over volting. I'm gonna send it in for an RMA but I am paranoid that the guys will see all the stuff I have on there. Is there anyway I can clear everything so it is not revorable? The hard drive won't even power on. Thanks!

I'm at a loss if it won't even spin. Do you have any high powered magnets, haha..

How did you over volt a harddrive? I wouldn't expect to get a replacement, the warranty is for manufacture defects not for you blowing it up.

Unless you have a really strong electro magnet to hit it with there's nothing you can do.
