Hey Knowledgeable Folks,

I am in a bit of a quandary whether I should upgrade or build a new PC.

What I want to do:

- Game. I play them all, and love high settings. BF3,BF4,Arma 3 etc..
- Video editing. Game recording, screen recording, HD video editing.

- Work. Web design, photoshopping, standard programs a web dude would use.

My Current Rig:

i7-920 quad core 2.66ghz (never overclocked - stock cooler)
Asus P6TD Deluxe MB
6 GB Patriot DD3 Ram.
500GB Harddrive (+ 2 externals as backups/data storage)
Gigabyte HD 7970 Graphix Card. (oc'd lightly with AMD overdrive)
Thermaltake 750 watt modular PSU.
Samsung 27" SA950 3D Monitor 1920-x1080 resolution.

This system pretty much destroyed all of my games over the last few years but now it's starting to show it's age a little. I would also like to get into game screen capturing and don't think my system has the jam.

Here's My Thoughts:

O/C the i7-920 to what? I don't want to mess with cooling etc...
Upgrade from 6GB - 12GB RAM.
Add a 2nd 1TB HD just for recording game footage to.

Will those upgrades give me a beastly machine again, enough to capture high quality 1080p gaming footage with good-very good settings?

My other option is spending $1500 or so on a new system and just don't really have that in the budget right now... I'd like to pay with cash not credit lol.

Any helpful advice?
