Computer makes usb disconnect and connect noises before a BSOD soon afterwards

My computer recently has started making usb disconnect and reconnect noises, with the computer stuttering every time the noise is played. Then the computer BSOD. The noises are happening now, so this will have to be short for the meantime. Win7 64bit

Open up Device manager as soon as the machine starts successfully.

Make sure that you can see the list of devices and get the machine to do it again.

When you hear the disconnect noise, look at the list and see which device disconnects/connects.

Which one is it?
