Hello friends,

This is the first time I'm going to be building a desktop. I'm most interested in using it for gaming since I use my (old) laptop for school, which can only run a limited amount of games (Garry's Mod, Half-Life 2, NBA 2k13) on low-ish settings. Anyway, I'd love to hear some advice before I go ahead and order the parts.

Also, is it worth waiting a couple weeks for Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals? I don't have a strict budget, but I'd love to save some money if possible.

*Some other notes: I'm not looking to overclock. I have the essential peripherals that I might upgrade later. The games that I currently own that I can't play and wish to play on my new system: Bioshock Infinite, Assassin's Creed II and Brotherhood, Battlefield 3, Metro 2033, etc.*

How much of a difference will I see between the two cards? I'm not sure my case can fit the 280x. Plus I get additional games for less money with the 760.

I switched it to the GA-H87. Thanks!

Also, will I be saving any money by purchasing parts between Black Friday and Cyber Monday, or should I just go ahead and get the parts now?
