External Hard Drive: How to return to original state?

My external HD is shown under Hard Disk Drives in Computer. I want to move it to Devices with Removable Storage like it used to be so it can be recognized as a USB device. Any ideas?

The goal is to use Windows 7 USB DVD Download Tool so I can put the OS iso on it.

i have the same problem. although i could have found a way arround what you are trying to do, i decided to use a USB pendrive.

If you dont have one you can use a SD card or any flash storage.
If you dont have access to that i recommend using a different method to load the iso onto the Hard disk.

it might see abit difficult at first, but if you follow the instructions on this video, you will see it can all be done through the command prompt.
