Hey there, I used to play dota 2 on a 6770(1800hrs+ before upgrading) and it run perfectly fine with most settings turned on So a 7790 is a good card for the price but other cards can run dota 2 perfectly fine on good settings for less of the money. The real important factors are your budget and your Power supply. If you can tell me these I will be able to help you further.

my power supply is 600w.
my budget is $250 or less.
i will only play dota 2. im not aiming for other games. i just want to run my dota 2 smoothly.
currently, i can run my dota 2 with 60fps but the only settings that are turned on is anti aliasing, textures - HIGH and animate portrait. everything else is low.
running on 1360x768.
if i turn everything on, it still runs but with low framerate. 25-30-ish frames.. that's why i dont turn everything on to high.

$250 = gtx 760 or gtx 670 only in us or canadaelse get a 7870
all of them only requires 500W branded psu
these card will not only give you constant 120 fps in dota2 but can play bf4 at ultra settings even at full hd resolution...
is the gtx 760 compatible to my mobo? i mean, i can definitely install that hardware, i also want to know if it fits. and im here in the philippines.
what would you recommend? the 760 or the 7870?
the brands here are sapphire 7870. for the 760, the brands are zotac, palit, gigabyte, msi and asus. (the last three are over my budget although it's still 760)
what do you think?

It looks like both the 760 and 7870 will fit. I run a 7870 AMD for playing dota 2 on 1080p and max out the game with every setting turned on. So I'm going to be a bit biased to the 7870 and I infact run the Sapphire version as well(in the UK). Apologies I could not find a PC part supplier from the Philippines in my brief search so here's a link to the exact Sapphire I have http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sapphire-11199-16-20G-Graphics-... It'll run perfectly fine with Dota 2 and your current mobo/CPU. The 760 will run a bit faster in other games than the 7870 but for Dota 2 both cards can easily max the game (I have 8GB ram in my PC and you 4GB but I still think you'll max Dota 2 with the 7870) in edition to this the 7870 is most likely the cheaper card.

HAHA! how did you know that line?
pinoy doto. best doto.
hey! let's play dota sometime. add me up. my name there is Rainmaker. black and white avatar that looks like the dota 2 logo. but instead with five diagonal lines.
so i'm all set with the sapphire 7870. just like your card. i'll be buying in a week or two. and i will also buy another 4gig ram. i've been saving up for that also.
btw. you have posted the dual x version. the price is almost the same with the online shop im checking here locally.

Save up until you can afford 2 4gb sticks if you want to change your RAM,RAM is best changed in pairs to prevent any problems with comabitibility and I know that line because I have the ability to use something called "Twitch" haha
