Is this a good gaming computer for games such as high graphical games.

i am making my first gaming pc and i would like to know i my specs reach out and are able to take on games like BF3, KSP, and world of tanks on maximum to( if all else fails medium) graphics.

My specs go as

CPU:Intel Core i5-3470 Ivy Bridge 3.2GHz (3.6GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 2500 BX80637i53470

MB:MSI Z87-G45 Gaming LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX

RAM: i am going to have 8 but will upgrade to 16

Video card:ASUS GTX650TIB-DC2OC-2GD5 GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST 2GB 192-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card

PSU:RAIDMAX HYBRID 2 RX-630SS 630W ATX12V V2.2/ EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Power Supply( im not sure if i need it but for 10 dollars more i can get a 730W)

Case: Sentey Extreme Division GS-6700 Spider Plus Black 1mm SECC ATX Full Tower Computer Case, 1 x USB 3.0, 5 x LED Fans Included, Tool-Less, LED Temperature DisplaySECC / Plastic ATX Full Tower
2 x USB 3.0
2 x USB 2.0
1 x HD Audio & Mic
1 x E-Sata Port
1 x Card Reader Front Ports
4 External 5.25" Drive Bays
5 Internal 3.5" Drive Bays

i will have an SSD(60 to 120GB not sure if i need 120) that i will install whatever system i get(windows 8 most likely.) along with that i will get a1TB harddrive to put all my games on. again im wondering if these will do in playing any of the games i specified early. i am on a budget but if someone could recommend i get a certain other part it would be appreciated but i realy like my setup now.

MANY issues.

Your CPU and motherboard are different sockets making them not compatible.

The PSu is 100% trash and overkill. Get a 500w unit from antec, XFX, COrsair, Seaosnic ONLY.

With that GPU you are looking at medium settings in modern games. World of tanks will run at high or max though because it is a pretty basic game.

What country are you buying in?
One big issue: A i5-3xxx CAN NOT be used on a Z87 mobo. You need i5-3xxx + Z77/H77. A i5-4xxx + Z87/H87.
I like:
1. 3470 (can't overclock but saves $$)
2. 2x4gb RAM is plenty unless you need to do lots of video editing
3. G45 is a great mobo,

Since this is a budget I'd suggest planning on a 1 GPU system which means you can get a H87 binstead of Z87.
Also, the PSU isn't very reliable. Look for Seasonic, XFX, Antec....or maybe even in Corsair.

You are neglecting some parts such as GPU and PSU (stay far away from Raidmax PSUs). This seems to be copied from a custom build site like CyberPowerPC, and I would recommend actually buying the parts and building yourself as you will save a lot of money that way. You didn't list your budget, but here is a nice build for around $750.

Thankyou very much i must have overlooked the motherboard and CPU seeing that now one is LGA 1150 and the other 1155.

1 what do you mean by modern games. and with "modern games" being on medium graphics will this also effect my frame rate drastically.

2. would you recommend me get another(and/or) better CPU or should i exchange my motherboard.

3. is my video card ok? sorry about all the questions but i am very new at this and i am just trying to figure out how to get best performance possible within my budget($700-$800)+$50-$60.

8 gb ram is enought unless you are video or image creation (if you are doing complex images in illustrator or photoshop) just use the extra dollars that you wanted to waste on that extra ram on a better video card since i think you will have about 320$ or so for that you could get a 7970 or a 280x or a gtx 770 depending if you like nvidia or amd better

so what kind of PSU watts should i be looking at. for gaming purposes would 530W do efficeintly. also again i want to play games such as BF3 which i know take alot to play. but also again i am on a budget(700- 800) and i am just noob at pcs looking for things that i think go together and are cheap

and im in america looking on newegg

Look at the build I posted.

You shouldn't look at wattage alone when purchasing a PSU, brand and amperage on the rails are just as important. The only PSU brands I recommend are Antec, Corsair, PCP&C, Silverstone, SeaSonic, and XFX. Most systems will need under 600W for a single-GPU setup. For $700-800 you don't want or need to go cheap on your components.

1. from what i have learned in this short amount of time looking around, i like intel better so no to the CPU yes, i have heard that amd are cheaper and their duals are about if not better then intels quad but prefrence to intel.

2. i am actaully looking around and finding random parts as i do want to make my own computer.

3. i am sticking with my full tower as i would like the room.

4 with what you have put, what kind of graphics could one play high end games at as BF3?

To max high end games you are looking at a gtx760 or hd7950 minimum.

Also, you have no need for a full tower unless you build a custom water loop of $400+. You aren't doing this so a full tower will be a waste of money, space, and it will be loud.

i understand but if i were to upgrade,or even completely start over with my build, i will need the ram for at least one game i know. COD ghosts. (my friend who has also built his own computer) when my friend got the game he only had 8gbs of ram installed. yet for some reason the game wouldnt play without 16. yes i know the game doesnt actually need anywhere close to 16 but that is what it takes to get the gaem to start up.

but other then that i agree with you that the extra RAM i unneeded.

Refined build, though full tower is unnecessary for a budget build.

There actually was a problem with Ghosts that causes the game not to start because of memory, but it was quickly patched. It required 6GB to start, though not 16GB, his friend may have been wrong or had some other issue (maybe one of his two stick of RAM was bad yet was still able to boot).

Correct. I believe the game was patched within a day or two.

i am not lying, im not sure if it was only happening via steam( thats where he got the game) but look that COD ghosts was taking up 16GBs to start

lol ok my bad i was mistaken it was 6 GBs not 16 but my friend still had 8 in his computer and he was unable to play until he got 16 which he ordered about 3 days ago
