So, guys... I'm moving to a old 2 floor house with probably big walls, and I was thinking that coming Black Friday it's a good opportunity to buy new Networking products.

I'm thinking on getting a new wireless router.. the one that I have right now is a Dlink Dir-655
Also connected to that I have 2 8 ports switch.

My idea is try to get as much as possible in wired with Cat 6/7 cables. I know that most of the products doesn't work at Gbit level but anyway.

and for the wireless router I'm not sure what to use...
do you think that make sense to buy a 802.11ac capable router right no?
also, what I was planning to use is my current router as a repeater.

So, if you suggest me to buy a new 802.11ac router, witch one should I get?

BTW, the main reason I want to have a good quality internet is because I have 5 TVs that could be using Netflix, or streaming from a local NAS 1080 movies. that's why I want to have the best experience possible.

Basically the best of the best is the Asus RT AC68U. It's $220 on Newegg and Amazon, but it's a beast. I own an RT N56U and I love it. I wish I had bought the AC66U because then I could have even faster speeds. I bought my router 5 months ago before the 68U was out. Anyways, you won't have to upgrade your router for a while with this one.
