Hi everyone,

I am building a custom loop PC for the first time, and I just wanted to post my plans to see if anyone had any advice or recommendations. I have built several other PCs so I have a decent working knowledge of computer essentials.

Let me start with the hardware. The case will be the HAF-X Cooler Master (red) full tower. The components I intend to water cool are:

- i7-3770k CPU
- EVGA GTX 780 3GB (already pre set up with water cooling)
- G. Skill Trident X 16GB RAM
- ASUS P8Z77-V Motherboard South Bridge

I read several of the water cooling intros (including the sticky on this site), and calculated a rough TDP for this set up. I came out right around 400-500W, so I figured that 480mm of radiator space should be able to handle the heat dissipation. My planned cooling setup is the one attached. I totally understand the RAM and Mobo cooling is not necessary, and definitely more geared toward aesthetics.

The water cooling gear I intended to use is the following:

- 1/2" ID and 3/4" OD tubing with compression fittings
- Koolance 360mm 30FPI Copper radiator
- Koolance 120mm 30FPI Copper Radiator
- Koolance CHC-125 Water Block (for the Mobo south bridge)
- Koolance RAM-33 Water Block (for the RAM)
- EK Supremacy Nickel Red Acrylic (for the CPU)
- Swiftech Maelstrom 5 1/4" Dual Bay with single MCP35X Pump (Pump and Reservoir combo)

For the liquid itself, I decided on the following combination:

- Alphacool Pure Water (1L)
- IandH Copper Sulfite Biocidal PC Coolant Additive
- Feser Base Corrosion Blocker

So what do you think? Does this look like an okay plan for a newbie? I've got a little help on assembling this and testing it, but I just wanted to see if anyone else had any other input. I trust your guys' advice, and thank you again for looking through this post!

Looks good and solid. Good to go.

In my own opinion, trying new things should be as simple as possible to have a window for errors.

Still if you say you have some help on building, it's okay, go ahead and cool ram and mobo. Still, im more towards to have a CPU + GPU set up and then expand with time so you can see whats your priorities and stuff.

Best of the lucks and enjoy building, thats a lot of work!
