new computer build got blue screen

Just build my first pc and when I was transferring some data from my usb and updating nvidia drivers got a blue screen. Computer has most drivers up to date and cpu temp is fine 31 c. mobo 30. I'm very new to this and I am worried. It happened around 4-5 hours after build. I had not done the windows update that I am doing now. Can anyone help me out? I would greatly appreciate it.
My build consist of:

Intel i7 4770k. no o/c
Corsair 850 hx pro psu.
Asus z87 pro.
16gb ram 2x8. vengeance.
CoolerMaster 212 evo.
2tb Seagate 7200 rpm.
Samsung dvd optical drive.
Rosewill Thor V2.
Windows 7 premium.
Nvidia GTX 780 factory o/c.

  1. start with the motherboard make sure it has the newest bios. in the asus bios make sure the motherboard running in standard mode not performance mode. in performance mode the mb can change the ram timing on you. in the bios under ai in advance mode make sure the ram dram speed is set to xmp profile one. with windows install you have to install the intel chipset driver first and then reboot and then the usb drivers...sound and network and reboot then the video drivers. (in the bios change the primany display from auto to pec to boot from the gpu first.) on the motherboard cd is a program called mvp (it bonds the intle and the gpu vidoe together to get higher frame rates).
this software is know to be very buggy. if you installed it remove it.
  2. mvp?I got something called wifi go which lets me see tempt fans etc. Is that it? Im very new to this. By the way I installed the drivers for every component from the cd that it brought.
  3. some motherboard have the software on the cd some do some dont my asus z77 sabertoth did. you cd did not.

I'm going to take a wild guess and say that you fired up this awesome machine with all the hardware installed and then installed the software, correct ?
Remove the graphics card and fire it up.
Update all the drivers and install any remaining software.
Go through the BIOS and make any necessary changes, ensure all the settings are where they should be for the components you are using.
Turn off the computer and unplug it.
Insert graphics card, make sure it is seated correctly and connect power to it.
Make sure the 2 sticks of RAM are in the 1st and 3rd DIMM slots and seated correctly.
Restart, still have problems get a PSU tester and start checking voltages, if that checks out and you got problems try removing the GPU and see if it runs okay, if it does then RMA the GPU.
Still got problems RMA the RAM and work your way back to the motherboard through process of elimination.
For your first build you got in way over your head, this type of build is not for first timer, good luck..
  5. After the windows updates that are almost done I'm going to go and check those things you told me, I'll post if it was correct or if I had to change it. THANK YOU.
  6. How do I change the primary display on the bios?
