I am in a situation where I have to buy $400 worth of cpu(+cooler), psu, case, and mobo sometime next week, and $300~400 worth of gpu in January. I dont have to buy RAM. What are the best possible parts that I can get with this amount of budget during these times of the year?

Solution
AMD is better price/performance, and if you go cheaper on those you could put more into the GPU (not that it's really necessary since the 290 is a top of the line card). The i5-3570K/i5-4670K are the absolute best for gaming however.

I heard that amd mobos and cpus are better for tighter budgets. Will the m5a99x and 8320 also be a good choice for this budget? (btw, if possible, I would like to buy all my products from Amazon because I have prime on it.)

I really do want to by the 970a-g46 instead of the m5a99x, bt many people kept telling me that m5a99x was the best selection. Can the 970a-g46 completely handle a 6300 or 8320 even in it's oc state?
