Xeon or i7? Gaming and Photoshop

I want to know whether It would be better to get get an i7 or an Xeon for Gaming and Photoshop/VideoRendering

i7 unless you're going to be doing a lot more working than gaming.

This is too vague. There are dozens of very different Xeons out there. You can get quads without hyperthreading, quads with hyperthreading, 6, 8, 10, and 12 core models.

xeon also comes with ht and some are cheaper than i7. xeon also supports ecc ram, thats for server and workstations.
and because its used for work they do not support oc. not that they cannot oc at all, it's not as easy as a core i7 4770k.

xeons can be used for gaming, rendering, and basically whatever programs you want to run. It's still a cpu and whatever the core i7 can the xeon can do it too.

have two systems running xeons and they work great. and the new xeon i got
xeon e3 1225 v3 with HT cost like $215
this was the first batch. new one does not have ht. the cheapest with ht is around $250, but it's still cheaper than a corei7

Yes. The E3-1230v3! It's basically a locked i7 for the price of an i5!
