Hi! I got HP Pavilion dv6 notebook PC. It is designed for Windows 7 pro. but I though it's time to change with time and I installed Windows 8.1. I checked in Official HP site for new drivers for Win 8 in my PC, but unfortunately they haven't updated any drivers for my PC which use for Win 8. So I have to install Win 7 drivers in my Win 8. Every drives are working good except my AMD Radeon HD 6700M Sereis graphic driver. I also update my Graphic driver from Device manager, it's updated but it's show an explanation mark on device icon and it says "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)" in properties. I also tried to install Catalyst control centre but installation always stop in middle as well as it's not detecting my device.
I have tried lots but still unsuccessful. So I am hoping in this site that it will provide me right solution. Thank you!

look at your laptop model real close. if it one with intel cpu and amd gpu that switchable. install the intel ipgpu drivers first then you have to turn on the gpu in the bios. some time it under power profile. when you do then the catilist drivers will install. the same issue goes if your rig has amd apu. the apu is going to be turned on as the main video chipset.
