GTX 660 gives better performence than HD 7870 in Latest games and,

HD 7870 gives better performence than GTX 660 in older games,

The choice is yours. :) 
according to me GTX 660 is better for upcoming games :)  .

Did you know the 7870 is the latest r 280 x card with a few tweaks as well???? 7870 cost less then the r cards and what does the gtx 660 card cost ???

BF4 MAY HOLD YOU BACK the game isn't machure yet needs patches not the cards... same as COD Ghost

with the 7870 you will get mantle. i vouch the 7870 but you really cant go wrong. if you dont really play nvidia based games with physx and all the other stuff get the 7870. should be cheaper too.

do you think it will run bf4 high/ultra and will it bottleneck with fx 6300

I have a 5800 apu trinty and it didn't hold me back running a 7950 radeon.

Yep you can I ran ultra My bro was impressed I am not a BF fan but he came here and used my system and was impressed compared to his which is a fx 4100 8 gig 1866 ram and a 6950 radeon which I built for him.

I havent seen any articles relating to the noticed phenominon of Nvidia cards snuffing it early , but out of a feeling of dread regarding the t.i. and boost technologies, I would STATE BEYOND A SHADOW OF DOUBT that I personally would not part with a bunch of ten pound notes to buy any card using that tech.
It appears unlikely it will still work in 30 months time so I would avoid it. buy the best 660 you can get, maybe an asus c.u.top. or gygabite 2 fan jobby.
