first off, intel 3770K is actually an Ivy Bridge i7 processor not a Haswell i5 processor. best off, go for an i5 4670K since with games, CPU is not the component that bottle necks but the GPU. let me share a link for both CPUs (i7 and i5) for u to makeup ur mind.

so a i5 3670k is actually better than an i7 3770k?
and what about the motherboard is it good and if not what one would u recommend and are all the parts i said compatible and is there any of these parts that you think are lower tier to all the others

i7 is never better than i5. What he meant is that for gaming, you won´t notice a difference in most games.
So - in a way - an i5 is more bang for the buck.

u have chosen a 4th gen motherboard (z87) and quoting all the processors from 3rd gen. for Z87, go with intel 4670K i5 which will be best bang for ur buck...

The motherboard you picked is a pretty solid one and lots of people on here use it.
The next "better" one from Asus would probably be the Hero.

You could also have a look at the boards from Asrock, Gigabyte and MSI.
