wifi does not connect automatically

Take a look in his network control panel, manage wireless networks. Insure that the desired network is at the top of the list and that it is set to automatically connect.
If that doesn't do it, then delete all the wireless networks in that network list, restart the computer, let the wireless detect all local wireless networks, then select the one that you want and enter the key and check the auto connect box.
