Dell Inspiron 1545 Webcam Issues

Ok, so I know that there are probably dozens of these threads already but I'd really appreciate it if someone could help guide me to fix this, thanks. So when I go to use Webcam Central it does open but states "Please plug in a supported device". I've tried to download different drivers etc but nothing seems to get it working, in fact when I do go to download the driver from Dell it comes up that there is an error when it's just finished downloading. Just to let you know it's a 64-bit OS and has Windows 7 Home Premium. If anyone could help me with this soon I'd be really grateful!

Hi, it doesn't even show up in Device Manager and there doesn't seem to be any yellow triangles

I have exactly the same problem and it's driving my crazy. Have spent hours trying to sort it including 50 mins on the phone to Dell. They went through the usual diagnostics and got me to download the driver but installation failed. They suggested it was a hardware fault but I'm not convinced. Any can anyone help?
