Hi everyone i'm using the notebook which i wrote the header and my cooling fan is started to make a lot of noise and i open it up a few days ago and cleaned it for good. Removed all the dust and stuff inside, didn't played much with the propeller and replaced the thermal pastes just in case. Well, the sound still there and i know i have to change the fan and i know it can be bought as a seperate item but what i would like to ask is; I will not be able to buy it soon and i have to use the notebook like this for a couple of months, now is this situation may cause problems like overheating or burn some important components? By the way i'm also using a notebook cooler under the notebook and make it working since the sound started. I believe Hp should have put some system to prevent overheatings or burns right?

and my fan is this : http://www.notebookcpufans.com/hp-pavilion-dv7-6b00et-cooling-fan.html

I'm going to suggest reapplying the thermal compound and replacing any thermal pads (they say you can reuse them but I've had no luck doing so) - I've had a few laptops that took two or three tries to get the thermal compound right. The cooling pad will help some but activities that put a lot of stress on the machine should be avoided until you can get your temps under control. I don't think I'd use the laptop much in the mean time as heat will cause premature wear on everything inside
If the laptop had been subjected to thermal shutdown, it may take some time for the thermal sensors to reset themselves and start providing accurate readings - there are methods suggested (but not by me) to reset those sensors and a search may be enlightening (or scary).

I'm really going to push the reapplication of thermal compound along with a little time for sensors to reset (about 5-7 days)

The heat is not rising that much i guess. Because when i touch the keyboard or the fan channels, there is not much heat coming at least not much considerable but of course i cannot know what is going inside and i will consider your suggestion. Maybe next week or after i will open it up again and inspect the thermal compounds and of course try to buy the fan ASAP. Thank you for your quick response.
