when I use my laptop at some point Windows just completely disacknowledges my USB ports. whats odd is I can tell when it happens because when I right click the menu is transparent until I scroll over it and I get ghosts after I click an option and if I don't remove whatever is connected it it will continue working until I do. The issue is I have numerous peripherals (mouse, midi keyboard, mpc, midi guitars, microphone) that I have to switch somewhat regularly and I have to log off for the next one to work which can be incredibly annoying while working on a singular project. They even start working as the computer logs off (I can move the cursor with my mouse before it fully logs off) what can I do?

As you are using quite a few USB-powered peripherals, it could be insufficient power at the ports, though it's not clear whether it's the actual ports that are "disappearing" or just the devices plugged into them.

If it's the latter, an external Mains-powered USB Hub should do the trick. Plug as many peripherals as you can into that:
