Hi all.
I'm getting closer and closer to pull the trigger on my next build as I don't think I can wait for Broadwell on my current PC.

I don't do these often, so when I do I aim for high-end (no, I am not "future proofing", but am aiming for a longer life cycle): the budget is not the #1 concern here.

If you have a minute to help me check the parts list below, I'd appreciate it, just in case I picked something that would not work together (eg: Is there a slot open for the sound card?).

Thanks in advance!
~K

Or spend half as much now, then upgrade it with the interest on what you saved in ~18 months time?

There is only a handful of actual 64-bit gaming software out now, which I consider the 'real' nextgen (vs the previous, borderline current, generation stuff that goes into mass produced gaming console units).

Based on this you can safely assume that, in the PC world, within 9 to 18 months there will be titles that bring many 64-bit machines to their knees.

You'll be wanting Quad-Channel DDR4-SDRAM before you realise what happened.

4K HD gaming may not be the norm yet, but whilst it's not the level of detail companies can cram into Full HD is going to sky rocket in 2014.

All the main players kept holding out their inventory and rebranding GPU's in 2013 hoping people would spend money to 'upgrade' to a card that was less than double as powerful as the one they already had. (Very sad move, from both players, like the old RAM market 'price fixing').

So here we are, in Christmas 2013, (the worst time to buy hardware is after Halloween), and everyone on Toms Hardware wants a 'new' PC for Christmas.

Trust me, wait until April 2014, before then you'll see real hardware available.
