I'm going to be ordering the parts for my computer build today and I don't know how I will get internet. My router is downstairs and my room is upstairs so I don't know if I need a wireless card, wireless USB thingy, or a really long Ethernet cord. Or do I need like another router up in my room. I don't really know this stuff. Please help quick!

Solution
a wireless card, wireless USB thingy, or a really long Ethernet cord

Depending on environmental conditions, any of those should work.
The long ethernet cable is fastest and most secure. But a USB or PCI-E WiFi adapter would probably work.

There are dozens of each type at Newegg. Which ones have you looked at?
802.11n, or 802.11ac?
Can you string a Cat5e cable? Are you the homeowner (holes in the wall, etc)?

I didn't look at any. I don't know what to look like. Also, I have Charter internet so I don't know if that matters or not.
