Hello,

I installed my GeForce 650ti graphics card in my computer, but my computer seems to be very confused, as am I. Any help would be appreciated.

First when I installed the graphics card all I got was a blank screen. So I put back in the old one, reinstalled the drivers, then it worked. What was odd though was that the computer said I have 2 monitors (I don't). One real and one that was blackened/greyed out. I can't disable it as the computer views my real monitor as the #2 display. Being that my monitor is the #2 display I don't see my boot screen at all. Also in my device manager it shows that I have 2 monitors, I specific and one "generic non-plug and play"

Second my screen resolution has always been 1920x1080, but now it changed to 1280x720. Windows still reports it being 1920x1080 but its not. Really never seen anything like this before. Has anyone experienced this in any form. My only real though is that I have a bad card?

What kind of monitor connection are you using? Also, what was your previous graphics card? A full system specs list can't hurt.

Go into Device Manager.
'Uninstall' your previous/current Monitor (no joke, they have INF files).
Reboot.
Run Windows Update, and see if there is a specific manufacturer provided INF via Windows Update for your Monitor.

They don't need drivers per se, but they do differ in various timings and interfaces. The false resolution reading is just caused by a minor glitch.
