Is there a way that I can retrieve items that I put in my recycle bin? I went in and everything that I have put in there is go

Hi there, I am in a dilemma, I have put a number of things in my recycle bin and have now gone in to retrieve them and they are ALL gone. It is extremely important that I get them back. I have gone in to the properties and that button is not checked so that cant be the issue. Please help me!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you've emptied the recycling bin or if it automatically emptied, it is extremely unlikely that you will be able to get your files back. Basically, your files might still be on there, but they have been marked as replaceable, which means if your computer needs to write a file it can write over those. So the longer you wait to retrieve them the higher the chance they are gone forever. That said, here's a guide if you want to chase after your files: File Recovery Guide
