http://www.nehruplacemarket.com/price-list/graphicscard-price-list.html

this is the list from which I'll be buying my graphic cards.
Basically my budget is Rs.20000 so it shouldn't exceed that amount. The graphic card model brand and the price is written on that website. It's a 2 page graphic card list so it wouldn't be that hard

basically my computer specs are

Proccessor- AMD phenom IIx6 1090t 3.2ghz
RAM-6 GB
Motherboard-890GXM-g65
Current graphic cards-Radeon hd 5850

So basically at first I was planning on upgrading to 7870 or gtx 660ti (which is included in the list under my budget price).Basically I want to be able to run the latest games like battlefield 4,call of duty ghost, arma 3 etc at a decent/high fps.So basically I'd like to know which graphic card is the best bang for my buck.

Solution

MSI is the one to choose for your 760.

Alot of people will say you should get Gigabyte but I disagree. The MSI has the best cooling so for summer time you wont have to worry about your card having to throttle back because of the heat. The Gigabyte can be purchased for around £10-15 pounds cheaper but its cooling is simply not as good as MSI. Furthermore the Gigabyte has three fans which you would think would be a bonus but it just means more noise/vibration and another element of the GPU to go wrong as it has 3 fans...

I'd prefer if I can play these modern games at 1920x1080 but if I have to play at a lower resolution it'll be fine.
can someone give me a detailed analysis between 7870 vs gtx 660ti vs gtx 760 and which one's the best bang for its buck and which brand should I choose out of the given list.

Any of the three of those will play all games on med-high easily on 1080p, and a lot of games on ultra. The GTX 760 being the best out of the three.

I understand that the gtx 760 but it would be awesome if you could describe how much better is gtx 760 is better then gtx 660ti/7870 as money doesn't grows on trees and this is all coming out of my own pocket money so I'd like to save as much as I can ;P

Pause at explosions and you will see the 760 lead the way through out the video.
From this video for pure performance you would want a 760 however for around 4000/5000RS less you can get the R9 270X which performs nearly as good for way cheaper.

I am personally going for a build with 760 SLI so I have some bias towards 760 but best bang for your buck in this scenario leads to you purchasing the R9 270X purely because it lacks 2fps compared to the 760 and is 4/5000RS cheaper.

If you dont mind using all your budget then go for the 760.

Bear in mind if you go for the R9 270X card it runs hotter and requires more power. :bounce:

you forgot to mention which nvidia model.
So far I'm seeing that the 760 model is the best out of the three and will last me a good couple of years before I have to change it and consumes less power compared to r270x

Unfortunately I share that problem being in the UK their are certain components I have to import from America/China that are really cheap. However importing components from another continent is just long.

I would say go for the 760 ZOTAC it may not be the best 760 card for cooling however that card has an awesome clock out of the box.

Yes the 760 is the best out of the three...there is only 1 model available of the 760 from your list.

Going back to what you said that you can not purchase the r9 270X in India, then why is it on the list stating you can purchase it in Delhi...

I'm sure I'll be able to find out other brands of 760 so which brand of 760 do you recommend the most? Keep in mind I live in delhi where it's extremly cold in winters(10-20C) and extremly hot in summers (45-50c).And as far as I know I don't see the r270x model on the list unless I'm extremely blind or something

Holy shit I just noticed they do indeed sell the r270 model.I must be colour blind or something, the font they used for their list has made me go blind.
So which brand of the R270 would you recommend and which brand of the 760 would you recommend? My main decision will be between those two graphic cards.By the way thanks alot for being patient with me as I usually like to research alot before I make big purchases

MSI is the one to choose for your 760.

Best cards to OC are gigabyte and MSI but the better cooling of MSI allows a more stable higer OC.

Unfortunately you are restricted by Nvidia to how much you can OC the card by the voltage. This can all be bypassed when you research on OCing the card.

Zotac is a good brand it has good clocks out of the box just if you have the choice and luxury to I would go for MSI.

I know this isn't anything close to your build but this is my build.

I've got one last question, let's say i'm not able to find msi or gigabyte and I am left with zotac, will it be fine or will it throttle down or something during the summers?Although it won't be 45-50 c in my room due to the A/C and all, the room temeperature will be around 30-35C

Im not that experienced with the new R9 series but from alot of reviews and benchmarks sapphire are not the best for AMD cards anymore. During the 7000 series Sapphire cards were awesome however MSI and Gigabyte have caught up. I could not say which is the best for the R9 270X although I believe Sapphire have alot of different designs for the card. They are doing performance based on the different price points for each design,

If you cant get MSI and Gigabyte dont worry because Zotac do really good cards just as I've said before there cooling isnt as optimal as the other brands. However their base clock out of the box is usually higher than many brands...so no real need to OC straight away. The magic number you need to be mindful about is 80c. If you allow your GTX 760 to reach 80c it will start to throttle back meaning it will slow itself to cool down.

http://www.bjorn3d.com/2013/06/zotac-geforce-gtx760-amp-edition/ thats a review of *A* ZOTAC design of the 760.

*bear in mind a review for this design does not represent ALL DESIGNS OF THE ZOTAC GTX 760's*

Just to add the card is pretty much already overclocked so there is no need to go any further with it. OCing in the future may be a problem.

Heres a list of reviews - Some of them dont exist anymore and their are a few anomalies but go with the majority and you should be able to identify a trend to a particular brand for the GTX 760.

Dont worry you are welcome.

Thats the card! for future reference if you havn't purchased already look for TF on the MSI model for twin frozr - its MSI's cooling system. If you get a reference MSI card without MSI's custom cooling solution (TF) then you might aswell of just gone with zotac.

Other than that good luck and happy gaming :)
