Will FX-6300 Bottleneck?

I am coming here to figure out if the FX-6300 will bottleneck a gtx 760 SLI configuration. Someone told me a while back that the 6300 would bottleneck the 760 but I am wanting some feedback from more people. If the 6300 does bottleneck the 760 then I will just upgrade it to the FX-8350.

1366 x 768 probably .

That is the fixed number of pixels on the screen . It cant be changed . You can output signal from your computer at a higher or lower resolution but then the monitor has to fudge the image a little to fit ............. so its insane to run an LCD screen at anything other than its native resolution .

My monitor standards that is a low resolution . A single GTX 760 is going to easily run any game at more than 60 fps . You may experience screen tearing where the image distorts because the graphics card will be delivering more frames per second than the monitor can actually display .
You can set the nVidia driver to enable Vsync which limits the graphics card to what the tv can handle . There is a small unnoticeable...

not necessary. HE might not want to spend any extra on a CPU and a motherboard which will not improve performance by a large margin.

Oh! In that case it's totally different.

The FX-6300 will still bottleneck GTX 760's in SLI.

You can go for an FX-8350 if you want to go on the AMD side but if you want the best performance I would reccomend going with an Intel i5 build with a hyper 212 evo cooler so you can overclock. That will definately eliminate the bottleneck.

yep, if playing at 1920x1080 a bottleneck will be hard to see. Obviously if he then decides to get a larger sized monitor with a higher native resolution with the specs that he has now, he will see continuous signs of bottlenecking.

I don't think that's true. Since higher resolutions doesn't tax CPUs more but do tax GPUs, the bottleneck will be smaller the higher the resolution

With higher resolutions you would expect any cpu bottleneck to diminish not get bigger

I use a 26-28" tv as a monitor if that changes anything.

Screen size is not important . Only screen resolution .

If you have a 720p TV you will not be needing more than one GTX 760 . If its a 1080p screen then a single GTX770 will play everything

How does the screen resolution change? I looked in dxdiag and it says my current display mode is 1360 x 768.

1360x768 is what my TVs native resolution is but I game in 1080p. It looks sharp like 1080p only problem is you can tell it's made for 1360x768 because at 1080p small font looks almost fuzzy.

When I went from VGA to HDMI my resolution went to 1080p, but like you it made all text fuzzy and made me feel nauseous. I feel a lot more at home at 1360x768.

I just made my fonts bold even on my desktop it helped a lot. Plus Windows 8.1 things are a bit bigger and clearer to read anyways. Gaming at 1080p looks normal no matter the game (Unless it's before 2006). Idk if you've tried gaming 1080p.
