To quicksync or not?

Hi,
I have an I5 2500K with an AMD 6850 graphics. For mere playback, should I use /enable quicksync? I am not even certain it will work with an external video card, but if it does, would it inhibit any functions from the Radeon 6850?
Bottom line, should I instruct the Media Player Classic to use I5's quicksync, or the 6850's DXVA, or just plain sw decoding without any hardware acceleration?
Thanks!
My system: I5 2500K, AMD 6850 2GB, 8GB RAM, win 7 PRO 64 bit, klite codec pack full with MPC.

Thanks, firebird and Chainzsaw,

When you say 6850 do you mean the DXVA? A few years back I had problems with stuttering video using an older Radeon, and after online research I found that DXVA could not handle the 1080p60 smoothly, so I had to switch to plain sw decoding which fixed the problem.
The 6850 has a newer version of DXVA, I think DXVA2 or something. Is it good for 1080p60, or should I stick again with plain sw?
I keep asking as I am installing MPC and am not certain I will get these options again after installation.
Thanks again

I use a 6570 for my HTPC, and I'm able to decode 3D BluRay without issue. Sometimes if the application has interlacing or other options it may cause the DXVA in the Radeon to not be utilized which then forces software decoding. You'll be able to tell by playing your video and watching the GPU usage from the CCC app.

Hi firebird,

My problems were related to 1080p60, which is outside the Blue-Ray standard. Don't know though what the "3D" entails.
DXVA was ok for me with 1080p24 and 1080i60, both "inside" Blue-Ray limits, but not with 1080p60. I understood that and accepted it, DXVA was (expectedly) meant to deal with the standing standards, but some of the consumer video cameras were already recording in 1080p60 format which was beyond the BD standard.
I would like to learn whether the new DXVA can now deal with 1080p60 or is still limited to the Blue-Ray compatible formats.
