Hey all! I am looking for advice on feasability and also money savings... I am an architecture student working on my Masters degree and need a smoking system.

[1] I'll be doing intensely complex 3d modeling work, big time CAD stuff, ultra high-res photo realistic renders, intense photoshop and illustrator work (sometimes 500+ layers), and even dabbling in a little noob video editing...

[2] My budget is appx $3000 - $4000, but since this will be financed on college budget, looking to save $$$ wherever possible. Although, as long as I am making the investment, I would like it to be worth the entry fee and basically just haul butt in every possible way.

[3] The system I'm looking at so far:

-i7 4930k
-ASUS P9X79-E WS LGA 2011 (workstation mobo)
-G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM 1600
-GIGABYTE GV-N770WF3-4GD GeForce GTX 770 4GB windforce edition graphics card
-NVIDIA® Quadro® K2000 2GB GDDR5 Workstation Video Card
-CORSAIR AXi series AX860i 860W Digital ATX12V 80 PLUS PLATINUM Certified Full Modular Power Supply
-SilverStone Temjin Series SST-TJ04B-EW Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
-Intel 335 Series 2.5" 180GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (boot drive)
-(2) Western Digital WD Green 3TB SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive (RAID 1)
-(2) Gateway 18.5" Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor(s)
-Cooler Master Seidon 240M - Water/Liquid CPU Cooling System with 240 mm Radiator
-a bunch of Noctua fans

Basically, I've read this described as the "poor man's maximus"

[4] Timeframe: looking to possibly purchase this in about a week (11/23/2013), and assemble during turkey day. However, I want to maybe wait on as much as I can, to take advantage of Black friday/cyber monday...?

[5] Skill level: Noob. I've never built a machine before, but I have some close friends who have much experience I can draw from and also have put in like 300hrs in reading forums/watching youtube vids in the last 2 weeks...

[6] disclaimer: I don't give a rats behind about video games. I can't say I'd never be interested, If I allowed myself to do it, I'd play the s#%& out of some assassins creed, but its not at all a consideration here. This will be purely a workhorse for me. All business. I have plenty of fun w/o v-games and usually try to avoid due to my propensity to get thoroughly addicted and not be able to stop at all...

Thanks everyone! any advice on money savings or potential problems I might run into would be awesome!!!

check the garphics card section tomshadware did a mass graphicsc card benchmark and i went with nvidai since its far more frequantly suported though amd is better bang for your buck with firepor but only works with aplications that suport open cl, also you might need to flash the bios to one that suports ivy brige e using the bios flashback
