USB-Sata adapter-use with RAID5 drives?

My PC will not power up-likely a power supply issue but just in case it is not...
I have (4) Sata HDDs configured in RAID5 (one is spare). Found out my backup had not been working :(
How can I transfer data from these drives? I have a USB-SATA adapter but was not sure it would work in this case of RAID5. I have used such adapter on RAID1 drive successfully, but not sure what will work in this case.Thanks!

I would image each drive and make backup copies asap. right now these drives apparently hiold your only copy of important data which is a big No-No in my book. Once you have that you can use raid reconstructor on the images to rebuild the array 'virtually' and try to recover files without further risk to the drives themselves.

It will not function with a RAID 5 array, you would need 3 of the 4 drives operational while in the array, USB to SATA enclosures will not work for that. If you are using the onboard RAID functionality (Intel or AMD) you can typically drop that array in another system (set SATA mode to RAID) and get your data.

It is using an Intel onboard RAID. We ordered a power supply to try first but planning for the worst. We have another system with an onboard RAID controller (was running a RAID1) and it looks like it has 4 sata ports but has smaller PSU ( I think 350 watt). That supply would probably be enough. I guess if it is the motherboard and we have new PSU, we could put that new PSU in this spare system with the 4 drives?

thats not entirely true, i have moved a RAID 0 from a i955 chipset to P35 literally dropped the drives in and set it to RAID in the BIOS. All my data was still there
