HP Pavilion laptop is connected to wifi but says no internet access. Other pc's connect without issue. This pc can connect with wired lan.
I've released and renewed ip info. Confirmed no special settings for this ip or mac on my router/firewall (netgear UTM-5). Other pcs use the router as dns. I have tried manual and auto dns / Ipv4. Also tried google dns servers and comcast. I can browse the local network but cannot get dns Via wifi.

Solution
backup your router settings to your pc then reset it see what happens if that makes u access to internet than u can further customize it if not u can restore your settings.

Check in your router's settings if there is any security option that disables an unknown pc from connecting, something like a mac address block.

Is it the first time you connect the pc to the network?

No. It has connected in the past but had issues getting dns addy from dhcp. I would manually set it to 192.168.1.1 (router) and all was fine. I've tried to do the same again to no avail.

The mac isn't blocked and in fact has an ip reserved for this mac. None-the-less, removed the reservation to no avail. No other security limitation that I can see anywhere within the UTM-5.

Fixed it. Login to UTM-5 >Network Config > Lan Settings > Lan Groups > selected this pc > Edit > select manually configure IP information > Save

On the PC manually enter IP, Subnet, Gateway and DNS as before.

Somehow the router was not sharing full IP config with the PC or PC was not accepting it via dhcp.

Backing up the router and resetting would have resolved it the problem but would have resulted in hours of reconfiguration for the static routes, reserved IP's, alert settings, etc.
