Approximate Purchase Date: e.g.: I am looking to purchase all of the parts between Black Friday and Cyber Monday with hopefully some solid deals pushing up the value of what i can get for a budget price

Budget Range: (e.g.: 300-400) I'm looking to not spend anymore than $600 after all of the rebates/shipping etc... Now if I am right on the precipice between something average and something amazing based on a few dollars I can go over this.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, surfing the net. 98% gaming

Are you buying a monitor: No

Parts to Upgrade: (e.g.: CPU, mobo, RAM) I plan to wipe and reuse a 500gb HDD I already have and as noted above I already have a monitor, keyboard, & mouse. Otherwise I need a Case(with fans preferably built in), mobo, CPU + cooler if needed, RAM, GPU, & PSU. I have hard how much folks love SSD's but i'd rather just use my old HDD and put my money towards a more powerful PC

Do you need to buy OS: I'm not 100% sure on this though i'm leaning towards yes. I have an OEM copy of Windows 7 I have used on both of my current PC's without issue but I don't know how many times that will work without running into problems.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: I don't have a preference for websites and I am located very close to a MicroCenter so they are an option for me as well.

Location: City, State/Region, Country - Cincinnati, Ohio, United States

Parts Preferences: I have heard Intel is mildly better for processors but I know they tend to be a lot more expensive than AMD's. My first PC build I ever did about a year ago had an AMD with the unlockable cores and I have been pleased with it's performance

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe I have never done SLI or CrossFire but my goal is to get the best performance possible for the price so if that ends up being a good option I'm game.

Your Monitor Resolution: 1280x1024 is fine

Additional Comments: I care about the power under the hood so the look of the PC is meaningless to me. I know I don't want to do liquid cooling as that sounds like a nightmare for a relatively new builder like myself. I play games of varying strain from low end like Wow to a little higher like Witcher 3 etc.. so i'm all over the place with what games i'm using. Ultra graphics is not my goal but is nice if I can achieve it, quality FPS is more important to me by far.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: The POS Dell that I currently have can't even play WoW and has made it so that I can't play games with my wife or anyone else for that matter who comes over to my house. As always your help is greatly appreciated.

Okay I do have a new question. I liked the solution provided and want to thank the community but now that I am looking around to purchase the items listed it appears the Sapphire Radeon HD 7950 3GB is gone and out of stock from every retailer I find. Are there any suggestions for available video cards to use in its place with this build or should I wait to see if they come into stock?
