Hi im looking for an upgrade for my pc for battlefield 4 and after some reasonable research i've come down to two options.

Currently im running with
AMD Phenom II X4 955 3.2Ghz
MSI Radeon Twin Frozr ii 6950 2Gb
8gb Ram

Should i upgrade to a

A) Geforce GTX 770

or

B) AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Black edition &
MSI Radeon Twin Frozr ii 6950 2Gb

With option B I'll be running a Crossfire of x2 (MSI Radeon Twin Frozr ii 6950 2Gb).

My main concern is which purchase will give a greater significant frame rate boost in Battlefield 4.

If anyone can please give me some incite on either option i'd be most appreciative. Thank you Happy Holidays.

Since you're running CF 6950s, switching to a 760 will not gain you much, and that's if it doesn't actually lose frames.

Your best option will be to upgrade the CPU.

a 770 will give slightly more performance than 6950 crossfire (as the crossfire performance won't be double a single card) for much less power, but the X4 955 could limit your fps as BF4 specifically is very CPU demanding ie. my I5-3570k @ 4.4GHz is 50-80% utilised.

Oh, my bad, i read 770 as 760, my fault there. but yeah, still, a new CPU will boost you more than that GFX upgrade

He's going to get much better gameplay from adding a 2nd 6950 and a better CPU than if he were to just change out the 770.
