After installing components in my case I noticed the CPU light on my motherboard was red. The computer doesnt have any display on screen but the gpu and everything else is running.
The CPU LED ( HD, RAM, and GPU ) always comes on Red and then goes off after a few seconds. Make sure the TPU and EPU switches are off. Reset the MB with the jumper "CLRTC". move the jumper to 2-3 position for 10 seconds and then put it back to the 1-2 position. I had a very similar problem and I had another CPU to test with and it wasn't my CPU. After a talk with Asus, they gave me an RA for Amazon and they sent me another one in two days. I have never had a problem again. Mine is the older R1.0. If nothing helps, contact Asus!
For the hell of it, go over this list, perhaps you are overlooking something: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/261145-31-perform-steps-posting-post-boot-video-problems

I had the same problem about 10 min ago. It turns out the the other 4 slot connect to the ATX power supply was not plugged in. After I did that plug your keyboard in and hold DEL to boot into the bios. hope this works.
