I don't know why this is happening, but when I run a speed test, I rarely get 15mbps download but I usually get 2mbps download. I've googled solutions but I couldn't find one.
My wifi adapter is the Intel n2230 if that helps.

You'd need to log into the router to change the channel. If it's a 2.4GHz router then select either Canne; 1 or 6 or 11.

Download the free wireless tool 'Inssider' - it will show you what wireless networks are using what channels.

If you can, try to use 5GHz - if that's an option

Thanks, I changed the 2.4 gh channel to 6 and it seems much more stable.
But for the channel width, which is better: 20 mhz or Auto (20 mhz or 40 mhz)

Also, I seem to randomly disconnect from my network and wont be able to connect for up to 30 seconds. Is there any fix to this?

Edit: nevermind, I was getting around 10 down and 5 up, but running a speed test now I only have .4 download and like .4 up

Edit2: I think it might be a problem with interference actually. But when I try to upgrade my routers firmware, it tells me it fails :(.

firmware updates have to be done by wire, if it go's badly wrong it could turn the router into a brick and would you really expect it to go well on wifi that randomly disconnects.

Did you use inSSIDer?

Yes i used inSSIDer, and when I attempted to update, I was wired to the router.

And my router does support 5ghz, but my wireless card doesn't. I think.

Seems your card does not support 5GHz - http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/processors/centrino/centrino-wireless-n-2230-brief.html

You could invest in a cheap USB adapter? Like this - http://usbwirelessadaptersnow.com/rosewill-n900ube-review/
