Just got my R9 280x Please help!

I just did a full upgrade on my PC. I am having trouble with getting my R9 280x to work.

Everything seemed to be working perfect, then I tried to update my WEI and it gave me the error "Could not measure Video playback performance"

I tried to troubleshoot that to no avail. My computer will not play any video, will not start any game and DxDiag says that all of my DirectX Features are not available.

Please help? I have no clue when it comes to AMD

Did you clear out your old video card drivers beforehand? You should use a program to wipe all of your video drivers and then download the latest version of the one you need. I think I may have used this when I last did it: http://www.guru3d.com/content_page/guru3d_driver_sweepe...

If all else fails you could try reinstalling windows, but let's leave that as a last resort. try the other methods first. I suspect its a driver issue.

Jook sent me a private message, got it all straightened out. Neverrazor you had pretty much the same advice. I will give Jook the opportunity to post for best answer since he did help me first, if not, you will get best answer. Thanks!
