Hi,
I have a laptop hard drive that refuses to work. On the laptop it was installed while starting Windows (or slightly before) it would either give the STOP error for NTFS.sys PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGE_AREA or a Disk read error (CTRL-Alt-Del restart).
I tried the hard drive on another computer and as soon as I powered up the hard drive the second computer would receive the same stop error. I have tried running windows recovery console from the Windows 7 DVD, but as soon as the background for the console comes up that same BSoD.
Has this hard drive gone bad? Is there any hope?
