so i was getting the parts of my new pc together on pcpartpicker and the only error i got was "Some Intel X79 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Ivy Bridge-E CPUs." i did some research and found out that the Asus X79 DELUXE ATX LGA2011 Motherboard will not require the bios update but i want to save a bit of money so i am wondering if the Asus P9X79 LE ATX LGA2011 will require the bios update and if so how would i/could you recommend a motherboard with the same attributes but better pricing?

These two are just about the least expensive LGA 2011 boards that you will find. There may be others but the quality will not be the same as you may find Biostar and Jetway boards for less but when going with an expensive processor you really don't want to go too low on the motherboard.

My personal recommendation would be to stay with the Asus Delux board but I can understand the need to try and save money and the Asus Le or the Asrock Extreme 6 would be the next choices. The Asrock may need a bios update but the Asus Le is bios ready for the Ivy Bridge-E..
