Is my CPU still good to use? A thunderstorm took out my computer, and I'm wondering if I can still use it. Is there anywhere I can take it to get it tested along with the ram?

Will there be any danger of putting it in another computer?

Most likely no, examine the cpu when you take it out, if the bottom is black or anything looks bent then dont try it. Repeat for any other parts you want to try. Most would simply not work if fried. So there isnt much risk unless things are bent which cohld cause a short. Its also "possible" the board is fine and all you need is a power supply, but thats unlikely
