Like the description says I want to know what the best gaming monitor setup is out there to get the most out of my system. I also have a 120GB SSD for the OS, 8GB RAM, a TX750 PSU, MSI Z77A-GD55 motherboard and the CPU is overclocked to 4.2Ghz. I scored over a 11,000 on 3DMark. Currently I am holding strong at 1920x1200 on a 26" Samsung SyncMaster. I am considering staying with the 16:10 ratio and 2560x1600 resolution for the next monitor but I have also heard the higher hz monitors are best for gaming. If I don't get over 120Hz will the screen have tearing and if so if I enable V-Sync would it give me better than 60hz performance? So I guess it boils down to, is my rig (Ivy Bridge i7 and MSI GTX 780) best suited to run a higher resolution or a higher hertz and what would benefit the most? What is a better experience the higher res or the higher refresh rate? Thanks for all the input.

How about that Seiki or whatever 50" 4K monitor that can push out 4k, 1440p at 60hz and 1080p at 120hz for $850? I am about to jump on it.
