Stuck between 2 Intels

So currently I'm stuck between two intel cpus and motherboard combos. I have a $500 budget to get a motherboard and a cpu both since I am switching from AMD to intel. My local Microcenter is having a deal on Intel/Motherboard combos and I think its a really good deal. I game a lot and the AMD FX-4100 is not cutting it at all. They have a deal for a i7-4770k with a ASROCK Z87 Extreme for $370 for both. The other is an i7 4820k with a Gigabyte x79 UD3 for $440. I do want to get some extra ram if possible, but if the i7 4820k beats the i7 4770k greatly then I can live with 8gbs of ram for awhile. Otherwise I am curious if getting the i7-4770k is just a better deal.

The core i7 4770k is newer Haswell while the Core i7 4820K is based on the older Ivy Bridge E architecture.

The lastest CPU architecture, with support for upcoming Broadwell
Maximum core is 4
Supports Dual channel memory
Supports single socket setups
When running 2-way SLI or CFX, PCIe lanes are reduced to x8/x8*

*Asus Z87 WS can run 2-way SLI and CFX at full x16/x16

Ivy Bridge-E
Last supported CPU for current socket 2011, upcoming Haswell-E will require a new socket, It's still socket 2011, but it won't be compatible with previous socket 2011 processors.
Supports beyond 4 cores, with up to 12 cores in a single CPU
Gets Quad channel memory setup
Has Dual QPI* to run on...

I already have a 7970 in my system so a gpu isn't really needed, but by any chance would you know an estimate of fps range between the two playing, let's say, Battlefield or some other game?
