PC not showing boot up process on nVidia card until login

Here's a my problem
I have TWO Pcs at home.
PC I (Win 8) has delivers its display from an nVidia card while PC II (Win XP) has its display is off the motherboard
I have recently purchased an LCD TV which i am going to use as my monitor.
When I boot PC I, I cannot see the bootup screens until i get to the user login screen of Windows. This means i cannot boot from a DVD or even enter the BIOS settings.
This is NOT the case with PC II

I ASSURE THE READER THAT ALL VGA/RGB CABLES USED IN MY TRIALS ARE IN PERFECT WORKING CONDITION

I then borrowed a good and different looking solid VGA cable (http://www.cyberresearch.com/images/products/1119917797...) from my neighbour (as opposed to the standard dark blue ended cables (http://computerwizard.co.uk/files/wpsc/product_images/v...) and atached it to PC I (the nvidia card) and voila the bootup screens also showed up on warm and cold boot up.

The blue ended cables work everywhere but on the nVidia connected to TV monitor

What may be the issue - i need to understand. It certainly points to the nVidia card or is it the TV that i am using as my PC monitor. Or is it a low resolution of boot up (before Windows takes over) that is not supported by nVidia or the TV - in which case is there a solution or setting on either side - but them how come the change of cable DID support the bootup resolution???!!

Thanks immensely for any help and explanation of this

It is not that I am avoiding buying a the solid and different looking VGA cable - its just that i would like to know what the issue(s) involved here are

Well that depends, can you try booting it up on another monitor? just to test?

Yes i just did that.
The bootup on a regular PC monitor has no problems at all using any of the above cables but boot up on a TV (being used as a monitor) is only showing bootup with the non-blue cable from the PC with nVidia dispaly outputted

Sounds like your tv is just taking forever to recognize the connection. You should still be able to get to the bios, just turn you system on, spam whatever button your system uses to get to the bios and wait for the tv to figure out there's a signal coming through to it.
