Emachine D4362 (original with machine)recovery cd installs Ok, then Windows starts to go through its initial "setup" proceedure and STALLS @ the: give your computer a name and will NOT continue! MB has been replaced with the FIC VL33 without 1394 & everything seem to be OK up to that point. Suggestions???

It's probably an issue with the fact that the motherboard was changed, you may need to use a standard Windows XP setup disk. The disk you have for the restore I'm sure contains the drivers specifically for the motherboard in the original build and may be tied to the system by some BIOS info as well.

Could be a bad disk also, did you check to make sure it was clean and not scratched?
