My computer freezes when I am running games or videos for a long time and remains on the last image. A buzzing loop noise comes with the freeze but ends after a couple seconds. I thought it might have been a heat issue but all my temperatures run below 50 degrees Celsius.

I'm running memtest86 right now and am nearing the end of a pass on a new computer I just recently built. Says there are no errors on my RAM. All of my drivers for the Graphics and Motherboard have been installed.

Could the issue be the power supply. Is 430 Watts not enough?

Could it be my SSD?

Could it be Windows 8.1?

CPU: AMD FX-6300
Graphics: MSI GTX660
Motherboard: ASRock 970 Extreme4
SSD: SAMSUNG 840 250GB
Power: Corsair CX 430W

check to see if your mb has the newest bios updates. use msi afterburner set a fan profile up for your gpu to keep it cool when gaming. if your rig locks up try another power supply.

That really does remind me of previous ram issues.
You need to investigate xmp settings. Its fine until its stressed, memtest might not pick it up.
Can you up the voltage one notch?
My old pc falls on its face on the standard setting, and the problem is yesterdays news at the next one up.

The cx430 is not a likely culprit. A better and more stable psu in that class is not possible for that money.

I just changed the xmp settings. so voltage for DRAM is set at 1.6 when it was at 1.5 which was auto. I've also updated my bios. but still having same problems. Now that I installed Batman Arkham Origins, it freezes every 10 minutes in the game.
