I'm trying to build a desktop pc for between 1.5k and 2k. This is what I had in mind.

NZXT 630 Phantom case
Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD7 motherboard
16GB (2x8) 1600 cosair vengence ram
AZZA 1000w power supply
AMD FX-8350 cpu
NZXT X60 kraken cooling
1tb 7200 rpm hd

My only point of contention is the graphics card I was considering the 7990 or 780ti
or sli/crossfire two cheaper cards I can get every thing but the graphics card for about 1k. Which leaves me about 500 to 1k to play with. Any thoughts that might cheapen or improve the build?

That's what I was thinking, but on the other hand it will eventually be fixed & the 7990 is a better card. Plus in the future I plan to buy another card, & having 2 7990s it's like having 4 7970s running at 16x instead of 8x. Also the 780ti EVG edition is the same or more in cost than the 7990.

However all that said, when you bring Nvidia G-Sync monitors into it the Nvidia cards start to look more appealing for the future. AMD is still stuck with Mantle.
