First custom workstation build – Compatibility check and feedback

Hey all,

This is my first custom workstation build for video editing, color grading and 3D generalism. I would appreciate if you could tell me whether there is everything that I need and if parts are compatible. I feel a bit overwhelmed after building my first system. Thank you so much in advance!

CPU: Intel Core i7 4930K 6x 3.40GHz So.2011 WOF

Motherboard: Asus P9X79-E WS Intel X79 So.2011 Quad Channel DDR3 ATX Retail

RAM: 64GB Kingston HyperX Beast DDR3-2133 DIMM CL11 Octa Kit

GPU: Hewlett Packard Nvidia Quadro K4000 3GB GRAPHI

SSD: 2x 256GB Samsung 840 PRO Series 2.5’’ (6.4cm) SATA 6Gb/s MLC Toggle (MZ-7PD256BW)

HDD: 2x 4000GB WD Black WD4003FZEX 64MB 3.5" (8.9cm) SATA 6Gb/s

Case: Corsair Obsidian Series 750D mit Sichtfenster Midi Tower ohne Netzteil schwarz

Drive: Asus BW-16D1HT Blu-ray Disc Writer SATA 3Gb/s

Power: 1200 Watt Corsair AXi Series Modular 80+
I don't know much about power consumption. Is this too much?

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U14S Tower Kühler

CPU Cooler extra fan: Noctua NF-A15 140x150x25mm 1200 U/min 19 dB(A) braun

Cooling: 2x Noctua NF-A14 FLX 140x140x25mm 1200 U/min 19 dB(A) braun/beige

Cooling: 2x Noctua NF-F12 PWM 120x120x25mm 1500 U/min 22 dB(A) braun/beige

Cooling LGA2011 socket: Noctua NM-I2011 Montagekit für Sockel 2011 (NM-I2011)

Lovely build, if only the rest of us could afford it. You could go with another GPU like a Nvidia 780 Ti, which is better and over in the UK, is cheaper. You don't need the PSU that powerful, you could reduce to a 1000W and run everything fine

I changed my CPU to: 1000 Watt Corsair RM Series Modular 80+ Gold

Also I was about to get GTX 780 as a secondary GPU that I will swap if required for certain purpose.
