Hey guys,

Im new so be nice!

Anyway, onto the point! I'm looking to put a new Graphics card into my PC (My current one struggles to run anything in 720p, which is sad) My current power supply is supposedly 500w (Its stock and came with the PC so im guessing the tag lies) But I dont really have a budget, Im just wondering what the best card I can get without having to upgrade my PSU (But feel free to suggest a PSU to upgrade to, I will upgrade when I have some more funds, or now depending on how cheap it is).

Im from Australia and am prolly going to buy my parts from http://www.pccasegear.com

Cheers guys,
Hayden

What games do you plan to play? If you won't play any demanding games you can get GTX 650 because it has very low TDP and your PSU will handle it.

I dont know your cpu and other specs but gtx 650 ti boost would give you atleast medium/high settings in most new games http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_i...

Or he can get the R9 270X TOXIC by Sapphire. Top choice.

Hi. I could not find any info on the net regarding the model of the PSU you gave me. Is it possible to post a picture of the PSU's information label?

Heh no, sorry for the bump. I think we were all expecting some crap PSU, but it's a good sign that is bronze plus 80.

Now, that varies from brand to brand, but having bronze PSU and 408W max power (>80% efficiency) seems good.

Ah I see, you just increased my knowledge on PSU's by 100%! + 2 brownie points to you (If only there was a way of sending edible digital brownies...)

As in by R9 270X, do you mean the TOXIC edition that Mr. Gate9er suggested? Or practically any card that is a R9 270X?

Hi

Many reviews claim that the TOXIC is amongst the best in terms of price/performance ratio. So go for the 270X TOXIC since the 280X TOXIC cannot be supported by your PSU. Also please give the model of your motherboard.

No not all are the same. Many good variations out there. XFX version has unlocked voltage and a ridiculous 10 year warranty. You get BF4 free with registration as well. $219

Hey guys,

After looking a bit, and based on the suggestions...

A 650 Ti is too big for my case, so is the 7850 (I got 24cm of space from case end to HDD dock.)

So based on that i found this Powercooler R9 270x:
http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_i...

I'm going to buy this, but if anyone sees anything wrong with this go ahead and speak now or forever hold your peace! (Preferably speak now, I don't want to waste money)

try looking for other brands, imo powercolor is not that worth it when you can add a few bucks to get a better much temp and performance
