I have no plans on getting a second 690 card.

But would 1000W be enough for 2 GTX 690's?

Specs:

GPU: eVGA GTX 690

CPU: Intel Core i7 4770k @ 3.5 GHz

RAM: Dominator Platinum (2x8192 mb) 1866 Mhz

PSU: Cooler master silent pro 1000W +80 gold certified.

SSD: Samsung pro 840-series 256Gb

HDD: 2Tb WD Caviar Black

thats a waste of money mate they dont scale very well in 4 gpu configs.
compare to the scaling you get from stay 4 gtx 680's the first will give 100% the second up to 95% the 3rd would give around 30% and the 4 as low as 5%... reason for this the drivers aint designed for 4 gpu cores as for power requirements 1000w will be enough in theory but you may want to go up to 1200 to give some headroom.

SLI 780Tis might be a better bet.

I assume the OP already has one 690, and he stated that he had no plans to get a second one. One 690 is still a beast, but I agree that two of them wouldn't be the best setup. They are 300w a piece so 1000w would cover it though.

1000w is good but its a waste of money u will only get 20% increase for $1000. Its better to sli 780, it will beat quad sli 690. I will recommend u to sell ur 690 and get 780 sli or 780ti sli if u want absolute best graphics possible on this planet.

yeah i would just sell the 690 or keep it for a bit longer. generally going over 2 cards for games wont end well cause the dont support it but if your a benchie junkie then you could but i wouldnt.
